D. Disembarked Liverpool, England, September 2, 1917
"We docked this afternoon around 5:30. The last few days passengers were required to carry life preservers at all times and to dress for leaving the ship at any moment without going back to their state rooms . . . We are to go directly to Southampton, which means I that I won’t be able to see family. I was hoping to at least see Dulce or Uncle Joe."
