Tabulae sceleti et musculorum corporis humani by Bernhard Siegfried Albinus was first published in Leiden in 1747. Drawn and engraved by Jan Wanderlaar, the atlas includes illustrations of skeletons and muscle men in detailed and dramatic scenes. Albinus used grids to trace and proportion the illustrations, adding shading to give the illusion of three dimensions and highlight their realism.
