Isagogae breves by Jacopo Berengario da Carpi, first published in 1522, was a condensed version of his Commentaria cum amplissimis additionibus super anatomiam Mundini, published the previous year. Both works are notable for being some the earliest anatomical texts to include illustrations, advancing anatomical knowledge, and setting the stage for more detailed Renaissance anatomical texts to follow shortly after.
